The Quinta and its history
Recorded on the first wine "de Feitoria" zoning (1756 by Marquês de Pombal). It was aquired by Jaime Acácio Queiroz Cardoso in 1989, the Quinta dos Corvos is located in Sabrosa, on the right bank of the Pinhão river at an average altitude of 300 meters.
Know in the region as on of the five "Quintas" that could export their wines without passing through the Entreposto de Vila Nova de Gaia due to their very high quality.
During the years neighbouring properties have been aquired to a total of 25 acres nowadays. Entirely mechanized and restructured with the best Douro varieties, having its production divided by 80% red grapes and 20% white grapes.
The winemaking is completely home made and family connected and with an almost totally manual bottling process, we bring together the most modern technologies in order to achieve and improve the high quality of our wines.
Producing an average of 40.000 bottles yearly, 'quinta dos corvos' aspires to confer to its wines the weight of all the feeling and tradition that have gone into producing them throughout generations.
